Workshops

Tap into your creativity
Workshops can provide the perfect environment to practice, learn and develop your photography. Whether you want to brush up on technical skills, get help thinking outside the box and tap into your creativity, or simply have the benefit of my location knowledge and experience to ensure you are in the right place at the right time.

If you are a complete novice, or a seasoned pro, I always strive to cater a workshop around your own personal requirements. If you would like a more hands-on approach, with help and discussion towards areas such as composition, settings and technique, or would prefer to be left alone to explore areas, either approach can be dictated by you. As a subjective art form I prefer to allow people the space and freedom to explore their own creativity, rather than all setup to get the same shot.
FAQs
What equipment do I need?
For workshops you will need a camera, lens (focal lengths covering between 16mm – 200mm advised) and tripod. Remote shutter release, circular polariser, ND and ND grad filters also recommended. If you need to hire any of these items please let me know in the contact form.
Am I fit enough?
Fitness level require will depend on the type of workshop you sign up for. For Edinburgh City Tours the locations can be tailored to suit you. If you sign up to a group workshop then I will explain how much physical exercise is involved, and the level of fitness it will demand.
